He is there
before me
beside me
beyond my time
angels in the air
unknowingly protecting
the song of my heart cries
thank you, Lord
for every good
every blessed word
heartbeats saved
restless thoughts enslaved
and the leaf dried broken
crushed underfoot
now green, renewed
the promise of hope.
